NOTES: Reginald embarked at Melbourne on 03 Feb 1943 for Canada and UK. Whilst serving with 524 Squadron RAF, he was killed in a flying battle off the Dutch coast on 9 July 1944, aged 21. Information received through International Red Cross from German authorities that the body of one Royal Air Force member of W.O. Russell’s crew, Sergeant W.I. Howitt, was washed ashore.  No further news of the remainder of the crew.
