NOTES: Captain Lewis received the Military Cross for courageous and inspired leadership at Lewis Knoll on August 1943. He was discharged on 10th October 1945. After the War, Eric was a jeweller in Murray Street Colac for many years. In later life he retired to Buderim in Queensland, where he died in June 1980.
