The Zappelli Family, Italy…Australia, 1690 – 1992

In 1879, Steffano Zappelli left Cologna with friends and made his way with friends to Australia, lured by the prospect of luck on the goldfields. Steffano met and married Hannah Robertson in Ballarat, and from there the family developed. Irene has spent many years researching and writing her family’s story anad after many years has found a few copies hiding in her garage.
