The Colac & District Family History Group Inc. was formed in May 1981. It shares the History Centre in the COPACC building with the Colac & District Historical Society, on the corner of Rae and Gellibrand Streets, Colac
The aim of the group of active and friendly volunteers is to create, collate and maintain a comprehensive database and library for genealogical research of Colac and District. If you would like to become a member or volunteer, please contact us
Access to the database and library is free to members. It is available to the public either by research request or in person for a small fee
Contributions of photographs, birth, death and marriage records or your family history research are welcome. We would appreciate any documents which would expand the Colac & District genealogical record collection and resources
Guest speakers, workshops, exhibitions and special projects are offered to members and the general public and promoted in the members’ monthly newsletter Coladjins
Local history publications are available for sale from our store
